The challenge
AEMFC required hands-on procurement and SCM support across daily delivery and longer-term improvement in a mining environment.
The assignment covered tender committees, procurement planning, contracts, SAP vendor data, inventory, organisational design and transformation advice.
Bareki's role
- Chaired specification meetings, coordinated procurement forums and prepared bid documentation.
- Managed plans for transactions above R500,000 and supported evaluation, adjudication and supplier negotiations.
- Worked with Legal on service-level agreements and advised executives and the Board on SCM matters.
- Supported B-BBEE and ESD strategy, SCM structure design, SAP vendor-data cleansing and inventory management.
